Cindee... you beat us to it! Just posted a link on the sidebar for iPad and iPhone users! You can click on it to get the magazine in PDF, scroll down to the bottom of the document, and click on download, then a quick tap to "open in iBooks". Too cool, huh?? ---B
"My Heart Stood Still" is the perfect name for that quilt because that's EXACTLY what mine did when I saw it! Lovely e-zine! I'm looking forward to really reading through it tonight after work. Congrats!
Okay..that's it...the Lizzie B Girls are officially the "Coolest on the Planet!"...just downloaded my eMagazine into iBooks on my iPad...Love everything about it...thanks for all the creativity and fun!!...you girls continue to amaze....
LOVE LOVE LOVE.... This is just wonderful. Thanks for sharing so we could all enjoy. Love the Lollies..... they rocked. Great tutorial and samples, just adorable.
Heard about your magazine on Pat Sloan's radio program and then, checked out your website. Great topics and creative individuals involved. Thank you for a new approach to "dreaming about creativity" and for the enthusiasm heard on the radio! Happy Valentine's Day!
Hi Liz & Beth - Great mag. You have solved the mystery of Aurifil for me. Thanks and when I finish my La Vie en Rose, which is in progress, I'll be sure to use Aurifil.
Really enjoyed the new emag. I'm going to try the mug hugger.....Please enter my name in the drawing for the thread. It's the only thread I use in my piecing.... Karen
Oh, I'm so glad that Amanda blogged about this! I have your 2 books, and love them! Now, to have an e-magazine?! It's LizzieB goodness all over again! :) Yay!
VERY nice. Not sure how you busy women have time to do this too, but I''m glad you did! Looking forward to future issues. I too love Aurafil thread and would love to win a pack. Thanks for all you do!
Honest feedback? I love it, but I found the Aurifil page hard to read, visually. Must be my eyes. The pages like 22 were EASY to read, and so you wanted to relax and read them. Aurifuls page was hard to read, and so as much as I wanted the information, it wasn't relaxing to read it. :( I'm tryin to help... HUGS
Oh I just love it. What is there not to love. Let's see I like Gina St. Paddys Day Rose tut, the notebook tut from Rosebud and I really like continuing stories it builds suspense...and now aurifil thread. To be honest I have never tried it but after reading so much info about it, I am going to. It seems like there is nothing not to like about it, is ther such a thing as a perfect thread. I will let you know. Thanks somuch for the new newsletter it is truly awesome.
This is going to be such a sweeeeeet ride!! I really enjoyed, and need to go back and read thru some articles - can the patterns be copied? I also LOVE Aurifil thread. Not sure if you made the poster, but it would be wonderful in my sewing studio!! I REALLY liked it!! Fun & colorful, and if it's not available, you should make some up!! Great job!!!!!
Love it!!! So much that I have added your button to my blog. I am someone who sews and is new to the quilting world. Reading the newsletter actually overwhelmed me ... in a good way ... so much to learn and so little time. Guess I need to be doing this 24/7 ... YAY!!!! Thank you for your hard work. Looking forward to reading the next issue ... =]
The e magizine is great and has a lot of great stuff in it. I would love to win the thread! I just purchased my first spool and used it for quilting and LOVE it!
Love your magazine! Great ideas, newsworthy items on quilting, yummy recipes, and I could go on and on. I'm already looking forward to the next one. Thank you so much for your inspiration.
I love it! I just have to find a way to get past the touchy/feely need. I really do want to curl up in bed and read it and mark the parts I want to come back to. It's a great magazine!
This is a great magazine. I had trouble with the small font size but it could be my computer. I'm off try some of the projects. Thanks for the magazine
I really, really, REALLY!! like this e-mag!! I love the lay out - story, craft, story, and the extras details on each page. It's fun and entertaining. Yep! I'll be back for more.
Great magazine! Full of stories, projects and beautifully laid out. I love My Heart Stood Still, as I am always looking for beautiful but not too complicated quilts to make for gifts. Thanks for sharing!
Just flipped through the e-mag. Lovely. the colors and format works. I have an IPAD and will be downloading in PDF format! It's a keeper. Keep of the good work.
love the emag. the whole idea. the mug hug is really cute. i need to make some of these for my coffee friends. aurifil thread is the only thread i use for piecing. i am almost finished with my first cone--------5 years later with A LOT of piecing!!!!!!!! i "like" the magazine on facebook too. that helps remind me to look for it, too
What is NOT to love about your emag? Cute little projects with fantastic instructions, great photos, a bunch of great articles. I'll definitely be back to read more!
What can I say except, you people ROCK!! I absolutely love this new on line magazine. Interesting projects and love the articles. I will definitely be back to read more and try some of the projects. Might just have to make the baby quilt for my next great grand daughter due in March. Thanks
Wonderful! Love the variety in the content...a few small projects, a bigger project , a couple of fun lists, some educational info and of course...some yummy looking recipes!!!!
Love the emag! Only have one suggestion and it's to use a less busy background in some of the articles, i.e. Do you Aurifil? The grey background texture blended with the lettering and made it difficult for me to read, even when zoomed in. Guess my eyes are not what they used to be. That's the only issue I had. Hope you keep up this great mag! Thanks for listening.
Awesome! I love the ezine. Great articles, and wonderful format. So glad you can access it on the iPad as well. You are wonderful. Can't wait to make the quilt. Loved the story, and cookies sound delicious. Hope I win the Aurifil thread as I love it.
Awesome emag Ladies! I loved every page. Nice variety of articles and projects. I love that you can link to the contributors directly from the pages. I will definitely be watching for the next one.
I enjoyed your magazine. I really enjoyed the interview with Clare. I will have to get a copy of her book. It looks very interesting. I am looking forward to your next issue.
Its a very nice emagazine- I have read Some of Clare's books so I especially enjoyed the interview with her. I also loved the Heart Stood Still pattern. Thanks for sharing your magazine-I will be back to visit it again. Warmest regards from Western Canada Anna
You girls are outrageously artful and creative. LOVE LOVE LOVE. Keep up the good work. I LOVED zines when I was in high school...remember when they came to you in the mail on crazy papers and intricate pen and ink drawings? I love what you've done here.
It took all my power not to drive half an hour just for rick rack to make some roses after browsing this magazine. Next time I have errands, though, I'm going to have to make a slight detour! Keep up the good work. :D
I love the Mug Hug and the My Heart stood still pattern. The little hug is a cute and pretty simple gift to make for your friends and quilting buddies. Very creative magazine!
I'm having some difficulty with Issuu - gives error - "A problem occurred while loading the viewer". From little I was able to read, I like Pat's Mug Hug. Want to enter the contest for thread and such so guess will try again tomorrow. Are there special requirements for using issuu viewer?
I glanced through it as it is 2:30am and way past my bedtime, but oh is it exciting. I just love the quilts you have in there, and I really love the coffee wrap. I have seen quite a few of them, but none as cute as that one, and I can't wait to get back online to try and make one for myself. Thanks. Love the e-mag, and thanks for the giveaway.
What a wonderful way to start my morning. Thanks Pat Sloan for leading me to these talented ladies. Have bookmarked it so I can read and re-read it again! Can't wait for the next issue!
I really like the magazine and I have been using Aurifil for the past couple years. I love them. They are definitely better than regular thread for quilting.
GREAT Magazine, have skimmed through and will find time to read it "cover to cover", can't wait to see future issues. Have used Aurifil for many years and love it, lasts for ever.
I stopped by to check out the magazine because of Pat's blog. Then I had to stop to read the whole thing before my breakfast! Great magazine. Can't wait to check out Claire's books I love a mystery! The projects are great...mug hug, journals etc. I just have got some Auriful to try. I will have to compare.... Thanks for the great, colourful and informative fun magazine. And for Liz H. fun story! It made me laugh!!!! Jo
I LOVE your magazine and plan to make several of the projects from it. I especially like the Mug Hug and the Irish Rose! I appreciate the chance to win some Aurifil thread too. Thanks!
I've only skimmed your new ezine, but it's downloaded to my iPad and I'm forcing myself to wait until next week to read it while hubby and I are driving from the east coast to the west coast. Well, he will be driving, I'll be reading. So far, it looks amazing! Sue
Oh My!!! My creative juices are flowing overtime, not enough time in the day to quilt, sew create already and I can see I will be burning the mid night oil. I want more Aurifil threads, my colors are so limited right now. Keep up the great work, I love the emag.
Fantastic job. I just love the e-zine creativity. I'm looking forward to the next issue. I'm already planning on making several of the items in this one.
I enjoyed reading the magazine and thank Pat for directing me here :) I had trouble with some of the text but read most of it. Creativity is definitely a blessing and your new magazine is very creative!
These are the wave of the future, with all the small portable devices coming out! I love the colors and artsy pages, you can enlarge and it is vibrant. The engine runs smoothly turning pages like you are flipping through a magazine. Very well done!! And the PDF part is awesome so you can save parts to your computer instead of trying to remember where in that magazine it is!
I enjoyed the e-magazine. The crafts and the story - to be continued. Reminds me of the magazines I read growing up, you had to get the next one to finish. Good luck with this venture.
Maybe I missed it, but how do I save this to my computer for later perusing (and to print out any templates etc??? Help, please!! I flipped through it - what a great job you ladies did! Such fun little projects, I need to go back and read the "novel" - sounds like fun! Gerda in Alberta
Never mind, I figured it out. Click on the text beside the black dot under the iphone/ipad heading in the right sidebar. I now have it saved as a PDF to my computer. Thanks again! Gerda in Alberta
Well, I love the format and I saw some stuff I think would be good to read. However I need new glasses and the print would not enlarge so I could read it with out eye strain. Other wise I would love to receive it. Tennye in Texas
I totally agree about Aurifil thread. I've been using it for several years and love the way it leaves so little lint compared to other quality threads. Besides the fact that you can fit so much on a bobbin, it makes great bobbin thread because it's so thin that it barely shows on the back of a quilt.
Loved your new magazine and Liz's story was great. I was at a retreat this past weekend and a girl next to me was making a beautiful quilt. It was Rose Tinted Life. I wrote down all the info and then googled you. I am going to get that pattern.
I love your magazine. Different projects, stories, and news about my favorite thing -- Arifil thread. So many things to read - my new favorite mag! Can't wait to see what you come up with next.
I'm in love and feel truly rewarded for having to save some dollars by sadly letting some of my magazine subs go here at home. Your new magazine is amazing and I look forward to reading every page and offering you provide. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
What a great new magazine! I really enjoyed the funny story and look forward to more. I'll have to make the rickrack Irish rose tomorrow. Love the Aurifil! Way to go.
Well, this is WONDERFUL! And free! I've added your button and I will be an avid follower. Thank you so much. LOVE the "My Heart Stood Still" quilt. I'm new at this, but can I print those directions, or do I have to write the directions down? I tried and tried but couldn't get anything to work. Maybe it's against the rules. I want to make that quilt so bad and don't have a computer in my sewing room upstairs. Help.
Polly... did you download the PDF of the e-Mag to your computer? When you do, you should be able to open it, select the pages you want to print, and you'll be ready to head up to your sewing room and SEW!
Love everything about it....from the inspiration for me to create, the recipes and the laughs!!! Thanks so much for doing what all you do!! (I found out about Lizzie B Cre8tive at the show in Houston....and I am so glad I did....love your work :)
Great variety -- something to interest many different folks. The fiction is too cool, and I gotta make "My Heart Stood Still!" Oh yeah, and Princess Bride is the best -- "Hello! My name is Inigo Montoya. Prepare to die."
loved the mag - is it downloadable? or do we have to read it from the blogpage? I agree about the Aurifil page being hard to read - - some fonts are more challenging for 'old eyes'...
I'm hugely impressed! You've really packed a lot into this e-zine. There seems to be something there for everyone. Congratulations! Of course, I now have more things on my "I really need to do this!" list!
i just loved the magazine have to read it a page or two at a time as am losing my eyesight and trying to read that wonderful stuff takes time, im 91 yrs young and avid quilte keep up the wood wor pat
What a wonderful e-zine! I loved it, and I hope you all do well with this! I was in one of the worst moods with the second cold in two weeks, and you all got me smiling and dreaming of projects and Aurifil thread...now to look for fabulous fabric for the quick mug hug.
Thanks so much for a wonderful emagazine , wow I was impressed and it was a delight to read . I have never tried Aurifil thread but it sounds like I should ;-)
Your magazine is a refreshing change. Love the stories. I've used Aurifil threads in the past. they are very nice but not readily available in my neck of the north woods!
I loved your magazine...best price ever! I agree with the praises for Aurifil thread. It has become my hands down favorite thread for almost anything. =!=
Wonderful e-zine! It's so cool to read a magazine online and be able to link to a live video tutorial. Technology is awesome. I look forward to future issues.
Fabulous eMag. Thank you thank you thank you. Will be a loyal fan forever. Met you in Phoenix in Jan. Your booth was the happiest place in the show. Your love of what you create comes through loud and clear.
LOVE the mag. Headed to the printer for a "hard copy." (Let me know if I'm breaking the rules printing it. I'll check back.) I'm just not techno-savvy. I want to hold it in my hands!
Glanced through it today but can't wait to read through it in detail. I have a granddaughter on the way. I am going to look and see if there is a way to download it so I can read it while in the waiting room.
Awesome!! I peaked... but will have to see more tomorrow.. as my eyes are giving up!!!
ReplyDeleteI absolutely LOVE the new eMagazine!!! The only thing that makes me sad is that it does not come up on my iPad :(...that would make it perfection!!!!

ReplyDeleteGreat magazine. I love that you can print from the pdf! Would love the give away.
ReplyDeleteLove the mag!
ReplyDeleteThese are the wave of the future, with all the small portable devices coming out! I love the colors and artsy pages, you can enlarge and it is vibrant. The engine runs smoothly turning pages like you are flipping through a magazine. Very well done!! And the PDF part is awesome so you can save parts to your computer instead of trying to remember where in that magazine it is!
ReplyDeleteI am so glad I found this blog and the webpage! I love the emagizine and look forward to many more!
ReplyDeleteGale

Love the magazine!! So easy to read..lots to see and do. Great job...I want more!!! Sharon in Ohio
ReplyDeleteWell, I love the format and I saw some stuff I think would be good to read. However I need new glasses and the print would not enlarge so I could read it with out eye strain. Other wise I would love to receive it.

I totally agree about Aurifil thread. I've been using it for several years and love the way it leaves so little lint compared to other quality threads. Besides the fact that you can fit so much on a bobbin, it makes great bobbin thread because it's so thin that it barely shows on the back of a quilt.
ReplyDeleteLove the new e-mag. Lots of color, and enjoy the recipes too.
ReplyDeleteLoved your new magazine and Liz's story was great. I was at a retreat this past weekend and a girl next to me was making a beautiful quilt. It was Rose Tinted Life. I wrote down all the info and then googled you. I am going to get that pattern.
ReplyDeleteI love your magazine. Different projects, stories, and news about my favorite thing -- Arifil thread. So many things to read - my new favorite mag! Can't wait to see what you come up with next.
ReplyDeleteI'm in love and feel truly rewarded for having to save some dollars by sadly letting some of my magazine subs go here at home. Your new magazine is amazing and I look forward to reading every page and offering you provide. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!
ReplyDeleteI love it! So fun!
ReplyDeleteJust love your e-zine! Especially "My Heart
ReplyDeleteStood Still" quilt. Look forward to the next
issue. So glad I found your blog.
What a great new magazine! I really enjoyed the funny story and look forward to more. I'll have to make the rickrack Irish rose tomorrow. Love the Aurifil! Way to go.
ReplyDeleteThis may just jump start my waning quilting mojo!
ReplyDeleteThanks.
Help.
ReplyDeletePolly... did you download the PDF of the e-Mag to your computer? When you do, you should be able to open it, select the pages you want to print, and you'll be ready to head up to your sewing room and SEW!
ReplyDeleteLove the magazine! So many fun things and great projects, especially the quilt. Can't wait for the next one!
ReplyDeleteLove everything about it....from the inspiration for me to create, the recipes and the laughs!!! Thanks so much for doing what all you do!! (I found out about Lizzie B Cre8tive at the show in Houston....and I am so glad I did....love your work :)
ReplyDeleteGreat variety -- something to interest many different folks. The fiction is too cool, and I gotta make "My Heart Stood Still!" Oh yeah, and Princess Bride is the best -- "Hello! My name is Inigo Montoya. Prepare to die."
ReplyDeleteI just took a break from reading the first issue to say WELL DONE! :)
ReplyDeleteLinda

ReplyDeleteloved the mag - is it downloadable? or do we have to read it from the blogpage?
