It's OUR dayyyyyy!!
Oh yeah. You know what THAT means?
Well if you know Lizzie B at all you know it means THIS:
Get up and BOOGIE!!
Preferably dressed in holiday garb...and a retro classic wig if you have one handy. Which you should.
Now that you've got your groove on with us, we'll share a couple of our fav's about the holiday season.
First of all, it's all about decking the halls! I save Christmas cards that are sent to us each year and use festive red ribbon to tie them on the garland going up the banister. I LOVE to see the cards each year, new AND old.
One of Beth's fav holiday traditions is getting out her North Pole Village every year.
And of course, we both do a LOT of holiday baking! I mean, who doesn't? Ok, if you don't, you at least BUY some yummy holiday goodies, right?
One tradition I started when my family lived in France was baking a Buche de Noel on Christmas Eve.
But honestly, what would the holiday season be without COOKIES???
For 7 of our Lizzie B favorite Holiday Cookie recipes, click *here* or type "Cookie Countdown" in the search box at the top of the blog page.
THE ultimate Christmas cookie in Lizzie B Land is a one that has been a tradition in my family since I was little. It just wasn't Christmas if my Mom didn't whip up a batch of these tasty treats. However, they never had a name, we just referred to them as the powdery-sugar cookies...in recent years however, my sister and I named them...
And now...for the free project you've been waiting for!
A sweet Poinsettia Pincushion. Such a fun little creative gift! Fill the jar base with a little sewing kit for your quilty friends; thimble, pins, needles, small scissors.
OR...
How cute would it be filled with ribbon candy? SO festive!

(of the pin cushion, not the candy! LOL.)
